Karachi´s Faisal Hayat (RHP) gave up three consecutive walks with the bases loaded and the Money Ball in play, invoking a double advance on the second and third batters he faced for a total of five runs.
Alex Dubord (RHP) also gave up three walks with the bases loaded and threw a wild pitch, leading to a 9-run outbreak for Arabia in the fifth inning. The Wolves went on to beat the Monarchs, 11-3.
Paul Myro hit an RBI bunt-single in the 5th inning, and Taylor Darden hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth, to bring in more runs for the Wolves. Elliot Good went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI’s, and Paul Myro went 2-for-5 with one run scored and one RBI. Karachi’s reliever Isaac Milburn gave up another walk with the Money Ball in play in the eighth inning against Taylor Darden, causing the runner on second base to score.
The victory went to Sean Fekete in relief (2.1 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 1 HR, 1 SO). Gillian Wernet worked the first three innings, with one hit allowed, three walks and three strikeouts. Blake Purnell had an outstanding relief of 2.2 scoreless innings, with only two hits allowed and three strikeouts, while Alex Katz (0.1 IP) and Reese Miller (0.2 IP, 1 SO) completed the pitching labor.
With this victory, Arabia (2-2) tied with Mid East Falcons for second place in the Baseball United Season 1 standings.
