Two pilots killed in Indian fighter jet crash

A fighter jet of the Indian Air Force has crashed in Bengaluru, killing both the pilots.

The incident occurred during the test flight of a French-made Mirage 2000 that was recently upgraded.

According to initial reports, the jet crashed during its take-off at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited runway in Yemalur.

The pilots had ejected the aircraft, but one of them died after landing on the wreckage, while the other succumbed to injuries in hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
