Etisalat says home internet traffic has jumped by 40 per cent during the coronavirus pandemic.
Khalifa Al Forah, the telecom group's chief strategy and governance officer, shares some figures that reflect what residents are doing as they stay at home.
He added that the company has been supporting distance learning by allowing students to access some websites without having to pay for data consumption.
Al Forah also stressed that Etisalat had prepared for a surge in usage early on by expanding its network.
