American actor Luke Perry has died at the age of 52 after suffering a "massive" stroke last week.
Perry rose to superstardom on the 1990s teen drama Beverly Hills 90210 and later as Fred Andrews on comic-based Riverdale.
His publicist said the actor's family and friends were with him when he died.
"The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning," the statement read.
