A 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck the Indonesian city of Ternate on Sunday.
It was followed by a 5.8 magnitude aftershock, but the country's meteorology agency confirmed there's no potential for a tsunami.
The US Geological Survey said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km at an area 168 km south-southeast of Ternate.
There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties in the quake.
