An opulent Versailles-styled villa in Dubai is on the market for a staggering AED 750 million ($204 million).

The Emirates Hills home, also known as the Marble Palace, has a 15-car garage, coral reef aquarium and even a panic room.

Speaking to Dubai Eye 103.8’s Business Breakfast show, George Azar, Chairman of Luxhabitat Sotheby's International Realty, said the price tag is justified by the quality of its interiors and the time it took to build the house.

"The property took almost 10-12 years to finish. Most of the items were gathered globally, all the marbles, the gold leaf, the crystals, the domes that were done by French architects… the time value that it took over the last 12 years is what the price is," he elaborated.

So far, the property has been viewed three times in the past month, with the vetting process for prospective buyers very stringent.
