Dubai is set to welcome a brand-new pop culture event this week with the launch of the JPEX Entertainment Exhibition.
Running from April 25 to 27 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City, JPEX promises three action-packed days celebrating anime, gaming, cosplay and Japanese culture.
What makes JPEX stand out is its homegrown story — founded by four young Emiratis with a shared love for pop culture, the event is independently organized without corporate sponsorship or backing from major event companies.
Their goal is to build Dubai’s very own annual pop culture phenomenon.
Fans can look forward to appearances by anime voice acting stars, including Hiroshi Kitadani, Ryusei Nakao, Showtaro Morikubo, and Arabic voice actress Amal Saadeddin.
The programme features live performances, cosplay competitions, gaming tournaments, a vibrant artist alley, and cultural experiences like kimono dress-ups and tea ceremonies.
Whether you are a seasoned fan or just curious, JPEX is open to all ages and promises an immersive, interactive celebration of pop culture.
