The Indian men's hockey team came from a goal down to defeat Spain 2-1 and claim the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.
Captain Marc Miralles gave Spain the lead in the 18th minute but India responded with two decisive goals from their own captain, Harmanpreet Singh, scoring in the 30th and 33rd minutes.
The win at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium marks India’s record-extending 13th Olympic medal in hockey and their second consecutive bronze.
Heading into Paris 2024, India was already the most successful hockey team in Olympic history, with eight gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.
Veteran goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, who was playing his final match for India, made some extra-ordinary saves in the final minutes to deny Spain.
Germany will face Netherlands later on Thursday in the gold medal match.
