Abu Dhabi Airport celebrates Saudi National Day

Passengers arriving at the Abu Dhabi airport were treated to a special welcome as the UAE marked the 89th Saudi National Day.

A Saudi band performed traditional songs while dates, coffee, stamps and a variety of gifts were handed out to Saudi travellers.

The terminals were also decorated in Saudi colours to mark the occasion, while special signage and luggage tags were handed out at check-in counters.

In addition, the Air Traffic Control Tower will be lit up in the UAE and Saudi flag colours. 

Airport authorities also unveiled a unique Snapchat filter designed for the big day.
