AED 7.7 billion housing package approved for citizens in Abu Dhabi

A housing benefits package worth AED 7.7 billion has been approved for citizens in Abu Dhabi.

It's the third such housing package for 2024, and is set to benefit 5,374 citizens across the emirate.

This initiative, under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was approved by Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The package includes over AED 3.56 billion in housing loans for 2,373 citizens, and AED 3.67 billion in residential land and housing grants for 2,540 Emiratis.

Additionally, senior citizens, low-income retirees, and families of deceased citizens will be exempted from housing loan payments, amounting to more than AED 486 million. This exemption will directly assist 461 UAE nationals.

With this disbursement, the total value of housing benefits in 2024 has reached AED 13.216 billion, benefiting 8,891 citizens.

Since its establishment, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has distributed approximately AED 162.1 billion in housing benefits, impacting over 118,700 UAE nationals.
