Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties and boost cooperation across key sectors during talks with UK Foreign Secretary in London.
Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the depth of the UAE-UK relations and the shared commitment to strengthening them further.
The meeting also covered the overall situation in the Middle East, regional developments, and ways to enhance regional and international efforts aimed at promoting peace, security and lasting stability in the region.
Sheikh Abdullah took the opportunity to congratulate Ed Miliband on his appointment in UK Prime Minister Any Burnham's new cabinet and wished him success in his new role.
