Six jailed in UAE over terror plot

Four men have been sentenced to life in prison in the UAE on charges of terrorism.

According to national news agency WAM, two others have been handed 10-year jail terms by the Federal Appeal Court in Abu Dhabi, while another five have been acquitted.

The group was convicted of plotting attacks, keeping explosives and planning to vandalise key government establishments.

They will be deported after serving their jail terms, while the court has also ordered them to bear all the expenses of the case.
