Some UAE carriers have extended suspension of flights to Bahrain and Kuwait amid escalating regional developments.
In a statement sent to ARN News, flydubai said flights from Dubai to Bahrain have been cancelled on Wednesday.
Etihad Airways also reported disruptions to its services to Bahrain, adding that services on July 23 stand cancelled. The Abu Dhabi carrier also extended suspension of services to Kuwait until July 24 "due to operational reasons".
The airlines said they are closely monitoring the situation, adding that safety of their passengers remain top priority.
