UAE's Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri has affirmed that the country continues to operate an economic model that is adaptable to global changes.
Speaking during the Economy Middle East Summit 2026, he stated that the UAE has maintained its competitiveness and stability despite geopolitical challenges and regional fluctuations.
He added that the country did not build its economy solely for times of prosperity, but rather to be "capable of performing under all conditions, operating efficiently, and offering a predictable economic environment".
The UAE minister noted that the region is going through an exceptional phase that has witnessed one of the most serious conflicts in decades, explaining that "the first test under such circumstances is security, the second is continuity, and the third is trust".
He stressed that the UAE’s core economic message is that it is an open country that operates efficiently and offers a predictable economic environment.
His remarks build on the approval of an additional AED 1.5 billion support package for Dubai’s business sector, which brought the Emirate's total economic incentives to AED 2.5 billion.
