UAE to hold tsunami simulation exercise

A tsunami simulation drill will be conducted in Fujairah on Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the 'IOWave 23 Tsunami Exercise' will be carried out on Al Rughailat Beach from 10:00 am.

The drill will involve mock evacuation procedures, vehicle mobilisation and coordinated movements of participating teams, designed to simulate various scenarios.

The exercise aims to assess and improve the effectiveness of early warning system against tsunami hazard in the Indian Ocean.
