The prize, which has already impacted 400 million lives worldwide, focuses on advancing innovative solutions to global challenges. This marks the 17th year of empowering the next generation of sustainability leaders.
Small to medium enterprises, nonprofit organizations, and high schools are invited to apply in six categories: Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action, and Global High Schools.
The prize continues to see a growing international commitment, with 5,980 submissions from 156 countries in 2024.
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Director General of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, emphasized that the initiative honours the late Sheikh Zayed’s vision of sustainable development, aiming to improve lives through innovative technologies.
Each winner in the organizational categories will receive $1 million, while high schools can secure up to $150,000 to expand their projects.
Submissions are accepted in multiple languages, and the prize’s evaluation process ensures that only the most impactful, innovative, and inspiring solutions are selected.
