Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to the UAE will pave the way for further cooperation in the oil and nuclear energy sectors.
That’s according to the UAE’s Minister of Energy and Industry, Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei.
He told national news agency WAM that the two countries are coordinating the UAE’s purchase of Russian nuclear fuel.
The minister also praised Moscow's role in the success of the OPEC agreement aimed at stabilising the global oil market.
Putin will begin his visit to the UAE on Tuesday, during which he will meet with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
