Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc pay tribute to Matthew Perry

Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc have expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of their "Friends" co-star Matthew Perry.

Cox, known for her role as Monica Geller, shared her feelings in an emotional Instagram post, stating, "I am incredibly thankful for every moment spent with Matty, and I miss him every single day."

Perry, aged 54, tragically passed away last month due to an apparent drowning at his residence in Los Angeles.

LeBlanc, who portrayed Joey Tribbiani on the iconic show, reflected on his friendship with Perry. He shared on Instagram, "It's with great sadness that I bid farewell. The moments we shared are some of the best in my life. Sharing the stage with you and being your friend was an honour. Your memory will always bring a smile to my face. You will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, my friend. And it seems you'll keep the 20 dollars you owed me."

Cox recounted a cherished memory with Perry, known as "Matty", highlighting his humour and kindness. She recalled a specific scene where Perry, playing Chandler Bing, suggested a humorous line for her character, showcasing his playful and supportive nature.

The cause of Perry's death is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office.

Earlier this month, a small, intimate funeral in the Hollywood Hills was attended by Friends stars LeBlanc, Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow, along with 20 other mourners.

Following Perry's passing on October 28, the cast released a joint statement expressing their profound grief: "We are all deeply shaken by Matthew's departure. Our relationship extended beyond mere co-stars; we were a family. While there is much to say, we are currently taking time to mourn and comprehend this incomprehensible loss."
