Rebel Wilson is to make her West End debut in 'Guys And Dolls'. The Australian actress is joining the cast of the London production for an eight-week stint as Miss Adelaide over the summer and is "honoured" to have been offered the role. She said: "I am delighted to be making my West End debut in 'Guys And Dolls' and to be playing such an iconic role as Miss Adelaide is truly an honour. Hopefully I crush it ... but you'll have to come and see me to find out." The 36-year-old star has been a huge fan of musical theatre for over 20 years. She said: "A lot of people who know me from my more recent film work have no idea how much theatre has influenced my life. "I saw my first musical at age 14, a show called 42nd Street, after one of my family's dogs had unsuccessfully auditioned to be in it. It blew me away and I've loved musical theatre ever since. "I then went on to write and perform in my own productions before being snapped up to do screen work. Further details on who will be joining the 'Pitch Perfect' actress in the cast have yet to be announced. Rebel will feature at the Phoenix Theatre between 28 June to 21 August. The 'Bridesmaids' star recently spoke of how excited she is to have a cameo role in Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley's upcoming 'Absolutely Fabulous' movie. She said: "I'm a huge 'Absolutely Fabulous' fan. Jennifer Saunders was one of the first women I saw on screen writing and performing her own material and I got to meet her last year in London and I cried when I met her! She's every bit as amazing as I thought. "I emailed her and said, 'If you need me for anything I'll be there.' I full out got down on my knees and begged. There's no level to which I wouldn't have gone to!"
