Authorities in the south Indian state of Kerala have been put on high alert after an intel report said IS terrorists are headed to Lakshadweep islands.
Security has been beefed up along the coastline, with police confirming they had received intel from Sri Lanka on May 23.
At least 15 IS terrorists are believed to have embarked on white boats for the islands in the Arabian Sea.
"We have also alerted the fishing vessels and others venturing into the sea to be cautious of suspicious activities," coastal department sources told Indian media.
