A dog that went missing from its home in Las Vegas, 2015 has been found alive and reunited with its owners after nine years.
Gizmo was a two-year-old puppy when he escaped through the backyard fence of the family home in 2015 and surprised everybody when he was found on the streets earlier this month.
Judith Monarrez was shocked to learn a dog had been found and dropped off at a vet, where its microchip was scanned and it was confirmed the dog was indeed her missing pet - now 11 years old.
Monarrez received an email on July 17 and had the dog back in her arms within hours of checking her inbox.
The chihuahua, who now walks with a limp and has a fear of birds and heights, is said to be enjoying being home with his owners.
