UAE takes third medal at Tokyo Paralympics

Mohamed Al Hammadi has won a third medal for the UAE at the Tokyo Paralympics.

The UAE athlete took silver in the 800m T34 men’s event on Saturday, with a time of 1:45.59. He followed Tunisia’s Walid Ktila who took gold with a time of 1:45.50, while China’s Yang Wang claimed bronze to round out the top three with a time fo 1:45.68. 

This is Al Hammadi’s second medal at the tournament, after winning bronze in the men’s 100m T34 earlier in the week. 

On Friday, the UAE bagged their first gold medal of the Toyko Paralympics, thanks to Abdullah Sultan Alaryani who won the men’s 50m rifle event.
