Starting Monday, drivers passing Abu Dhabi's DARB toll gates will be charged for an additional two hours in the evening, from 3pm, with the daily and monthly caps removed.
Morning rates will continue from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, with no fees charged on Sundays and official public holidays.
Daily and monthly caps, including the initial daily AED 16 fee, along with the previous monthly limits of up to AED 200 for private vehicles, have been officially lifted off drivers, where they will now be charged the general AED 4 upon passing the toll gates.
Conducted under the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), the new changes aim to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion.
Eligible groups, including People of Determination, low-income families, senior citizens and retirees, will be exempted from the new rule.
