Dubai International hits record 92 million passengers in 2024

Dubai International Airport (DXB) is the busiest international airport in the world with a record 92.3 million passengers in 2024, as ranked by the Airports Council International (ACI).

Hailing the achievement, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, highlighted on social media platform X that DXB last year logged "300,000 air movements...106 airlines and flights to 272 cities in 107 countries around the world."

His Highness then looked to the future, writing "Dubai Airports over the next ten years: AED128 billion to reshape the international aviation scene with Emirati standards. Dubai is the airport of the world...and a new world in the aviation sector."

His Highness also reiterated the success of the airport over the last decade, stating it had served "770 million passengers...(with) 3.3 million air movements."
