Dubai's iconic buildings dating back to the 70s and 80s are to be preserved as part of a major restoration project.
Deira Clock Tower and Dubai World Trade Centre are the first to be added to the list.
Officials at Dubai Municipality are drawing up plans to see how these structures can be made to last.
They will be classified according to international architectural and urban standards.
The civic body is also coordinating with UNESCO to include many of Dubai’s old buildings on the list of World Heritage sites.
