Fire in Abu Dhabi stores now under control

A fire that broke out in multiple stores on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed International Road in the Al Dhafra Region of Abu Dhabi has been contained.

Teams from Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority are now assessing the extent of the damage caused by the fire. 

Cooling operations are currently under way, the authorities added. 

Officials have reminded residents to only follow information from official sources.
