Fire in Dubai Sports City residential tower brought under control

A fire that broke out in a residential tower in Dubai Sports City on Monday morning has been put out.

In a statement sent to ARN News, the Dubai Civil Defence said they were alerted about the incident at 04:06 am.

Teams from Al Barsha Fire Station were the first responding team and arrived at the scene within six minutes. Later, teams from Dubai Investments and Jebel Ali Fire stations joined the operation and evacuated the residents to safety.

The fire was successfully brought under control at 06:38 am. 

Authorities added there were no injuries and an investigation into the cause is now underway.
