Growing concern over pilots’ personal debts

NULL

Pilots’ personal debts are a growing concern for the aviation sector. That’s one of the topics discussed on the final day of the 2015 Gulf Aviation Training Event conference in Dubai. Pilots need at least US$ 100,000 (AED 365,000) to achieve up to 1,500 flying hours. But now airlines hire them with lower hours and help them through a loan. The setup then results in pilots being stuck on the job and delay retirement.
