New ministers sworn in before UAE leaders

Three newly appointed UAE ministers were sworn in before the country's leaders on Thursday.

They took the oath of office in a ceremony at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

The newly appointed ministers are Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Minister of Environment and a member of the UAE Cabinet; Mohamed Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs and member of the UAE Cabinet; and Dr. Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs.

President Sheikh Mohamed congratulated the ministers and wished them success in serving the nation.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid affirmed that the UAE leadership places great importance on enriching the government's workforce with unique talents and competencies.

"The process of development and modernisation within federal entities ensures the government’s ability to embrace change," he added.
