New Year holiday confirmed for private sector

Monday, January 1, 2024 will be a paid holiday for all private sector employees in the UAE.

The announcement was made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources had earlier declared January 1 a day off for the public sector, with work resuming on Tuesday, January 2.
