One person dies in Dubai restaurant fire

One person has died following a fire at a restaurant in Dubai's International City on Monday morning.

According to the Dubai Civil Defence, teams from Nad Al Sheba fire station rushed to the site after receiving an alert at 4:31 am and contained the blaze within 33 minutes.

The four-storey building was evacuated as a precaution.

The site has been handed over to the Dubai Police for further investigations, with initial reports suggesting a gas leak.
