The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new bridge connecting Jumeirah Street to Al Mina Street in the direction of the Infinity Bridge, part of phase 4 of the Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project.
Spanning 985 metres, the newly launched bridge features two lanes and can accommodate up to 3,200 vehicles per hour.
The Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project extends 4.8 kilometres from the intersection of Sheikh Rashid Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street to the Falcon Intersection on Al Mina Street.
The new bridge will ease congestion and significantly reduce travel time by 67 per cent, from 12 minutes to 4 minutes, for motorists traveling from Jumeirah Street towards Infinity Bridge via Al Mina Street, by providing uninterrupted traffic flow across the new bridge without the need to stop at traffic signals.
