The UAE has expressed its solidarity with Indonesia following the tragic 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck its eastern region on Saturday, killing at least 38 people and injuring 13 others.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its sincere condolences to the victims' families, the government, and its people over the tragedy.

Rescue workers have continued efforts to reach areas closest to the epicentre, with Indonesian officials stating that residents remain trapped in several buildings in earthquake-affected areas and there are reports of landslides blocking several roads.
